The slideshows I created fall into
three categories currently:
Reading: Sight words
Telling Time
Counting Money
The Reading slideshows have 15 Dolch Sight words in each presentation. They
are labeled by level i.e. pre-primer, primer, first, second, and third. Students
click a little yellow smiley guy who tells them to find the correct word. If
they choose the correct word the slide will advance to applause and an arrow
directs them to move to the next word. If they choose incorrectly, then they
will advance to a slide that will direct them back to try again.
Telling Time Slide Shows have slides with a clock. Children select the
correct time and receive applause if they do so. If they do not they will be
directed to try again. The telling time slides come with the minute hand
counting by the hour, half hour, five minute, and minute intervals.
Powerpoint 2000 (or later versions) is required to run the slideshows,
however Microsoft has a free download that will allow you to view the slides.
